License Policy
Buy it once. Keep it.
This is the whole policy, not the summary of a longer one buried in a EULA. It applies to every Matter license, from the first sale onward.
Install it on every machine you own
There is no seat limit. Put Matter on your studio desktop, your laptop, and your old backup machine - all with the same license file. Nothing is checked against a device count.
No online check, no phone-home
The plugin verifies a signed license file that lives on your disk. It does not contact a server to check that file, at launch or on any schedule. Disconnect from the internet and Matter runs exactly the same.
No expiration date
There is no subscription and no date on which your license stops working. What you buy keeps working, indefinitely.
No paid compatibility updates
If a macOS release, a Windows update, or a new CPU architecture requires us to rebuild the plugin to keep it working, that rebuild is free. You will not be asked to buy an upgrade to keep using something you already own.
No manager app, no account
There is no Matter account to create, no login, and no separate launcher or manager application to install alongside the plugin. Your license is a small file you keep; place it where the installer tells you to and you're done.
Honest pricing
The price on the buy page is the price. We don't mark up a list price so we can permanently discount it, and we don't retroactively change the terms of a purchase you already made.
How this works technically
Your license is an Ed25519-signed file. Matter checks the signature locally, on your machine - there is no license server in that check at all. That's what makes the offline and no-manager-app points above possible; they're a property of the design, not a temporary promise.
